People seek psychotherapy and counselling for many diverse reasons. Our experience has been to share one’s inner experience with a professional in alignment with a faith-based approach can help with personal healing, growth, and a relief from symptoms. People who have contacted us were battling with diverse challenges including relationship difficulties, experience of abuse, depression, separation, parenting problems, bereavement issues, imprisonment, trauma, deliberate self-harm violent behaviours, anxiety, loneliness, spiritual concerns, various forms of addiction, trauma, anger management, mixed faith marriages, sexual addictions, to name just a few.

Subsidized Parish Counselling Program
St. Macrina Counselling Services is a registered charity governed by a Board of Directors (#851685909RR0001). Our program is offered in collaboration with Catholic parishes in downtown Toronto.

Christian Orthodox Counselling
The program welcomes Orthodox Christians, offering the possibility to meet with an Orthodox Christian counsellor. The program is offered in collaboration with St. John the Compassionate Mission, Toronto and Good Neighbors Drop-In, Scarborough.

Catholic Counselling
The program welcomes Catholic Christians and offers the possibility to meet with a Catholic counsellor with respect towards the Catholic faith and from a faith-based perspective.

Non-Denominational Counselling
The program welcomes non-denominational Christians, offering the possibility to meet a counsellor with respect towards faith and from a faith-based perspective.

Fees
At St. Macrina Counselling Services, we offer a sliding scale, which may allow for discount services to those who require them. Those who have workplace benefits may have insurance coverage through their employer. Our aim is, whenever possible, to offer professional counselling services regardless of a person’s ability to pay for services.
